1
Day 1: Zanzibar – Flight to Mikumi National Park – Full-Day Game Drive
Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Mikumi National Park. As you fly over the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush Tanzanian landscape, you’ll get a breathtaking aerial introduction to the country’s natural beauty.
Upon arrival at Mikumi Airstrip, your professional safari guide will welcome you and transfer you into the national park aboard a specially equipped 4×4 safari vehicle. Without delay, you’ll begin your first game drive, exploring the expansive Mkata Floodplain, one of the park’s richest wildlife areas.
Throughout the day, you’ll have excellent opportunities to encounter elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, elands, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Mikumi’s open grasslands make wildlife viewing particularly rewarding, allowing visitors to observe animals in their natural habitats with ease.
At midday, you’ll stop at a scenic picnic site to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch box while surrounded by the sounds of nature.
After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, visiting additional wildlife-rich areas before exiting the park in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Flight Back to Zanzibar
Rise early to enjoy breakfast before heading back into Mikumi National Park for a final morning game drive. Early mornings are one of the best times to witness predators returning from their nighttime hunts while herbivores become increasingly active across the plains.
Your guide will continue searching for wildlife you may not have seen on the previous day while explaining fascinating facts about the park’s diverse ecosystems, animal behavior, and conservation efforts.
After several hours of wildlife viewing, you’ll leave the park and transfer back to Mikumi Airstrip for your scheduled afternoon flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.

Amazing Safari Experience with K&G Tanzania Specialist
