1
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Safari Briefing
Arrive in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit. Depending on your arrival arrangements, a Jovial Safaris representative can meet you and transfer you to your accommodation.
After settling in, receive a safari briefing covering the itinerary, wildlife destinations and practical preparations for your adventure.
If you arrive early enough, you may have time to explore Arusha town or relax at your accommodation before the safari begins.

2
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Elephants and Baobabs
After breakfast, meet your driver-guide and depart for Tarangire National Park.
Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through a landscape characterised by ancient baobab trees, open savannah and seasonal river systems. Tarangire is renowned for its elephants, which are often seen gathering near water sources.
Search for giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and antelope species. With favourable conditions, you may also encounter lions and other predators.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your wildlife excursion before continuing the afternoon game drive. Later, leave the park and transfer to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Forests and Wildlife
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a day of wildlife viewing in one of Tanzania's diverse ecosystems.
Explore its groundwater forests, open grasslands and lake surroundings. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, monkeys and numerous bird species.
Lake Manyara is also known for its tree-climbing lions, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. Your guide will help you identify wildlife and explain the area's distinctive habitats.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before proceeding to the Karatu or Ngorongoro area for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park – Journey into the Wild

As you approach the Serengeti, the landscape opens into expansive grasslands supporting abundant wildlife. After entering the park, enjoy a game drive en route to your designated campsite.
Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and predators such as lions and cheetahs. Depending on the season, you may also encounter herds associated with the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Day 5: Full-Day Serengeti National Park Safari
Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out for a full day of wildlife exploration in Serengeti National Park.
Travel through different wildlife-viewing areas with your experienced guide, searching for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and wildebeests.
The Serengeti's vast plains provide important habitat for large herbivore populations and their predators. Depending on the time of year, you may have opportunities to observe the Great Wildebeest Migration in areas where the herds are present.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your afternoon safari. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Serengeti Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, continue exploring the park before travelling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The exact route and departure time will depend on the wildlife-viewing schedule and the location of your campsite.
Enjoy scenic views as you approach the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive at your designated campsite in the afternoon or evening, have dinner and prepare for the following day's crater safari.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting wildlife safari.
Explore the crater floor, where grasslands, wetlands and woodland provide habitats for a remarkable variety of animals. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests and hippos.
The crater is also an important habitat for the endangered black rhinoceros. With luck, you may have an opportunity to see one during your game drive.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before ascending from the crater and returning to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on road conditions and the day's activities.
Your seven-day Tanzania safari concludes with unforgettable memories of the country's iconic wildlife destinations.
