Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide and transferred to Planet Lodge in Arusha. After check-in, take time to relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed safari briefing, introducing the itinerary, wildlife highlights, and essential travel information. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and prepare for an unforgettable safari through Tanzania's world-renowned national parks.
Day 2
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – The Land of Giants
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most spectacular wildlife destinations, renowned for its giant baobab trees and impressive elephant population. The Tarangire River attracts a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year, making it an excellent location for game viewing.
Enjoy a full-day game drive across the park's diverse landscapes, where you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari
Day 3
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, traveling through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of the highlands, Maasai villages, and the vast African landscape.
Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy an afternoon game drive as you make your way to camp. The endless plains are home to lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, zebras, and large herds of wildebeests. Arrive at camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation beneath the African sky.
Day 4
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive – Central Serengeti
Spend the entire day exploring the wildlife-rich plains of Central Serengeti, one of the best areas in Africa for year-round game viewing. Search for the Big Five while your experienced guide leads you through different habitats where predators and herbivores coexist.
Depending on the season, you may witness part of the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location before continuing your afternoon game drive through this remarkable ecosystem
Day 5
Day 5: Full-Day Serengeti National Park
Today offers another exciting opportunity to explore different areas of the Serengeti. Early morning and afternoon game drives provide excellent chances to observe predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and countless grazing animals.
Your professional guide will share fascinating insights into the park's wildlife, ecology, and conservation efforts, making this another unforgettable day on safari.
Day 6
Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive while departing Serengeti National Park. Continue through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, famous for its volcanic landscapes and panoramic views.
Arrive in Karatu during the afternoon and spend the remainder of the day relaxing at your lodge in preparation for tomorrow's visit to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 7
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's greatest wildlife sanctuaries.
Enjoy a half-day game drive across the crater floor in search of the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and many other fascinating species. A picnic lunch will be served near the famous hippo pool before ascending the crater and driving back to Arusha.
Day 8
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge depending on your flight schedule. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
