DAY
1
Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Nyerere National Park – Afternoon Game Drive
Your adventure begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Nyerere National Park. During the flight, enjoy stunning aerial views of the Indian Ocean, lush forests, and winding rivers before landing at the park’s airstrip.
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from K & G Tanzania Travel Specialist. After a short briefing, you’ll set off on your first exciting game drive through one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas.
Explore the park’s diverse habitats while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, hyenas, and numerous bird species. The experienced guide will explain animal behavior, conservation efforts, and the unique ecosystem of Nyerere National Park.
A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic location before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, you’ll arrive at your safari lodge where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for another exciting day.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive & Rufiji River Boat Safari
After an early breakfast, head into the park for an extensive morning game drive. The cooler morning temperatures provide excellent opportunities to observe predators returning from their nighttime hunts while herbivores graze peacefully across the open plains.
Throughout the drive, your guide will take you to some of the park’s best wildlife viewing areas, increasing your chances of spotting elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, and many colorful bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing to one of the safari’s most memorable experiences—the Rufiji River Boat Safari.
Cruise quietly along the river while observing hippos relaxing in the water, crocodiles basking on riverbanks, elephants drinking at the shoreline, and numerous bird species including African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, bee-eaters, and storks. The peaceful atmosphere and unique perspective make this activity one of Tanzania’s finest safari experiences.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Nature Experience – Flight Back to Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of your lodge.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a short morning game drive or visit nearby wildlife areas for one final opportunity to photograph animals before your transfer to the airstrip.
Board your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, where a representative from K & G Tanzania Travel Specialist will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
